Mika Riipi

County Governor of the Regional Council of Lapland, Finland

Mika Riipi has been the County Governor of Lapland since 2013. The County Governordirects the activities of the Regional Council. The statutory tasks of the Provincial Federation are the tasks of the Regional Development Authority and the implementation of the Structural Fund program and the regional planning. In the Province of Lapland, the Regional Council is also responsible for organizing the rescue service in its area. Other key tasks include influencing and promoting and coordinating international relations.
