Mr. Mäkimattila has been leading the northernmost paper mill in the world since 2008. Stora Enso Veitsiluoto Mill produces a great variety of fine and magazine papers together with sawn goods and pulp for its own needs. His know-how is based on the Master’s degree from Helsinki University of Technology, amongst wide work experience on managerial positions both in production as well as in research units.
Mr. Mäkimattila is the chairman of the board of Lapland Chamber of Commerce and member of the boards of KCL and Kemishipping to mention a few. He has also been honoured to act as chairman of the board at FIBIC Oy. On his free time he goes hunting, jumps on his motorcycle or easily puts his mind on literature.
